What Is the MB-01 24-Plate Heat Exchanger?

Heat exchangers are used in heating and cooling systems for transferring heat between two fluids. They are devices that allow different fluids to pass over opposite surfaces of the heat exchanger plates, transferring heat through the plates without the fluids mixing. They can be used for heating or cooling water, oil, and similar liquids.

In terms of the basic heating principle, water from a heat source such as a combi boiler enters and exits the first plate of the heat exchanger, while cold water from the system enters and exits through the second plate. As these two fluids flow in and out without mixing, the copper plates between them equalize their temperatures by transferring heat from one fluid to the other.

That is, when the hot and cold fluids enter through the top connections of the heat exchanger, the temperatures of the fluids exiting from the bottom connections are nearly equal to each other. You can see the operating principle in the chart below.

Where Is the MB-01 24-Plate Heat Exchanger Used?
