What Is the Mit MB-01 14-Plate Heat Exchanger?

Heat exchangers are used in heating and cooling systems to transfer heat between two fluids. They are devices that allow different fluids to pass over opposite surfaces of the exchanger plates and transfer heat through the plates without mixing with each other.
They can be used to heat or cool water, oil, and similar liquids. The basic principle for heating is as follows: water from a heat source such as a combi boiler enters the first plate of the heat exchanger and exits from there. Cold water from the system enters through the second plate and exits from that side.
As these two fluids enter and exit without mixing, the copper plates between them equalize their temperatures by transferring heat from one fluid to the other. In other words, both cold and hot fluids enter from the top connections of the heat exchanger. The fluids exiting from the bottom connections are at nearly the same temperature. You can see how this works in the diagram below.

Where Is the Mit MB-01 14-Plate Heat Exchanger Used?
