Welko EL50C-28 Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger Features

Brazed plate heat exchangers are specialized heat exchangers made up of metal plates that carry out heat transfer effectively and efficiently. These heat exchangers feature a design in which two or more fluids circulate independently through their own channels.

The operating principle of the heat exchanger is straightforward: the first fluid enters the heat exchanger through one channel while the second fluid enters through the other. As the fluids travel along the surfaces of the metal plates, heat transfer takes place through contact between the plates. Increasing the contact surface area of the plates provides greater heat transfer and improves efficiency.

One of the most important features of brazed plate heat exchangers is that the plates are brazed together. This brazing process ensures the heat exchanger is leak-proof and prevents the fluids from mixing with each other. The leak-proof design ensures safe and efficient operation of the heat exchanger.
