What Is an Adjustable Safety Relief Valve?

An adjustable safety relief valve is the name given to a valve mechanism that automatically releases gas when a set temperature or pressure limit is reached in pressure tanks and other systems. It is important to use safety relief valves in boilers and tanks to ensure safety. Safety relief valves are also used as auxiliary components in heat exchangers and pressure tanks. The diaphragm inside the valve is manufactured to be resistant to wear. Opening pressures are fixed; if required, set values can be pre-adjusted at the factory.

It is installed in the system to prevent the fluid pressure in the installation from rising excessively and damaging the installation, any device connected to it, or a valve. It features a spring-loaded mechanism that operates on a counter-pressure principle. Various connection diameters are available depending on the boiler capacity and the amount of water in the system. In cases where the valve capacity is insufficient, multiple safety relief valves can be connected in series on the line.
