- All types of chemicals (paints, oils, etc.), acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric, etc.), bases (especially sodium hydroxide), or any liquids with corrosive properties.
- Loading and unloading of tankers carrying hazardous materials.
- These pumps are also needed in applications where ultra-pure liquids are used, in order to maintain the purity of those liquids.
- Applications where liquids that can corrode standard gasket materials or crystallize on gasket surfaces are used.
