The operating principle of coil-type hot water cylinders:

Hot water from the heat source circulates through the coils, transfers its heat to the water in the tank, and then returns to the heat source; the heat source continues to heat and circulate the water until the temperature of the water in the cylinder reaches the set temperature.

Single-Coil Hot Water Cylinders

Single-coil hot water cylinders heat the water in their tank by means of the internal coil. They operate with hot water supplied from a single heat source. Hot water is circulated from the heat source through the coil until the water temperature reaches the desired value.
