What Is a Hot Water Cylinder?

Hot water cylinders are devices available in various capacities that heat the water inside using their coils or heating elements, providing a hot water supply.

How Does the Wenta 400-Liter Dual-Coil Hot Water Cylinder Work?

The operating principle of coil-type hot water cylinders:

Hot water from the heat source circulates through the coils, transfers its heat to the water in the tank, and then returns to the heat source; the heat source continues to heat and circulate the water until the temperature of the water in the cylinder reaches the set temperature.

Dual-Coil Hot Water Cylinders

The difference between dual-coil and single-coil hot water cylinders is that dual-coil models contain 2 independent coils. Having 2 separate coils allows hot water from 2 different sources to feed them.

Example usage;

1st heat source (central heating boiler): hot water from the central heating boiler passes through the 1st coil and returns to the boiler.

2nd heat source (solar hot water system): hot water from the solar energy system passes through the 2nd coil and returns to the system.

Even if either of these 2 sources goes offline, the hot water cylinder remains operational.
