Precautions When Using the Ulusu JSPM600-H Jet Booster Set, 3 Floors, 3 Apartments, 50 L Tank

If the booster pump will draw water from a storage tank, it is advisable to use a level float switch in case the tank runs dry. If the tank runs dry, it will stop the unit from operating and prevent motor damage. When the tank refills, the booster pump will automatically resume operation.

Plumbing Materials

If your booster pump draws water from the same level or a higher elevation, you must use a check valve on the suction line. A check valve must also be used on the discharge line of the booster pump.

If your booster set draws water from below its own level (i.e., from a negative elevation), a foot valve must be used to prevent air entry.

To protect your booster pump from debris that may form in the water during suction, you can purchase a Y-strainer.

To ensure your booster pump stops automatically when the water in the tank or well runs out, you need to purchase a float switch. A water level float switch is used only with tank or ball-valve models; a float switch is not needed with pressure-controller-type booster pumps.
