What Is an Adjustable Steam Safety Valve?
An adjustable steam safety valve is the name given to a valve mechanism that automatically releases gas when a set temperature or pressure limit is reached in pressurized tanks and other systems. It is important to use safety valves in boilers and tanks to ensure safety. Safety valves are also used as auxiliary components in heat exchangers and pressure vessels. The diaphragm inside the valve is manufactured to be resistant to wear. Opening pressures are fixed and, if required, set values can be pre-adjusted at the factory.
It is installed in the system to prevent excessively high fluid pressure in the installation from damaging the installation, a connected device, or a valve. It has a spring-loaded mechanism that works on the counter-pressure principle. Various connection diameters are available depending on boiler capacity and the amount of water in the system. Where the valve capacity is insufficient, multiple safety valves can be connected in series on the line.
