Product description
What Is a Hand Pump and Where Is It Used?
Hand pumps are suction pumps used to bring water to the surface from levels below ground, i.e., at a negative elevation. Pumps generally consist of 4 main parts: the casing, piston, check valve, and piston rod. As you press down on the pump, it evacuates the air inside and expels it, allowing the water to rise upward. They can draw water from depths of up to 12 m. If you pour a small amount of water into the casing before starting to draw water, the pump will prime better — the piston will not wear as quickly, and it will create a better vacuum because it will not air-lock.What Are the Features of a Hand Pump?

- Operated manually by human power.
