CS Series Radial Fan Housing and Impellers

Cold-rolled, high-quality sheet metal radial housing. High corrosion resistance with environmentally friendly electrostatic epoxy powder coating. Dynamically tested galvanized forward-curved radial impeller per ISO 1940 standards; production compliant with EN 60335-2-80 standards; high pressure and flow values at the inlet nozzle application. Air inlet protected with a mesh guard or flow-control damper against foreign matter ingress.

CS Series Radial Fan Motors

High-quality production without manual intervention on high-technology CNC machines; external-rotor high-efficiency motor; long bearing service life with a rotor balanced to ISO 1940 standards; high operating range for windings with insulation class F from −40 °C to +70 °C; *230 V/50 Hz single-phase fan motor; certified components compliant with standards; IP 44 protection class.

Points to Consider When Selecting a Fan

Four parameters must be considered when selecting a fan.
  1. Required air flow rate
  2. Pressure losses
  3. Acceptable Noise Level
  4. Electrical Power Connection Type
The air changes required for the space to be ventilated depend on the intended use of the space and the number and activities of the people and objects within it. The required air change coefficients for different environments are given in the adjacent table.
Environment Air Change Coefficient

Paint Ovens 25-50
Vault Rooms 3-6
Cinemas and Theaters 5-8
Commercial Kitchens 15-30

Indoor Swimming Pools 3-4
Restaurants 8-12

Dry Cleaning 5-15
General Manufacturing Areas 4-8
Hospitals 8-12
Laboratories 8-15
Normal Activity (non-smoking) 29 m³/h
Normal Activity (smoking) 58 m³/h
Light Activity 45 m³/h
Heavy Activity (industrial workspaces) 60 m³/h

Per-person air volumes in living and working spaces based on activity level can help determine the required air flow rate.

Points to Consider When Selecting a Fan

Based on the information provided above, the required air flow rate is determined as follows.

Q [ m3 / h ] = Air exchange coefficient (1 h) * Room volume (m3)

Or

Q [ m3/h ] = Number of persons × Air flow rate required per person

After determining the required air flow rate for the space, an appropriate duct design must be made (taking into account noise and air velocity criteria) and pressure losses must be calculated. Depending on the environment in which the fan will operate, the fan type (axial, radial, roof-mounted, smoke exhaust, etc.) should be decided, and the appropriate fan should be selected from the fan curve based on the determined flow rate–static pressure pair.
