These adapters are connected to the very bottom and top of Ashirvad brand PVC column pipes. Because the thread profile of PVC column pipes differs from standard gas threads, if you try to connect a column pipe to a pump or other plumbing component, the threads will not match. These adapters are used to convert the column pipe thread to a gas thread for this purpose.
