Baymak booster pump series
Baymak booster pumps are package systems used for detached houses, small-to-medium apartment buildings, and garden irrigation. The pump is supplied pre-mounted on a horizontal pressure tank, complete with a pressure switch and pressure gauge. The category features four main series covering different capacities:
- PKM series: Peripheral (friction-fan) pump models with small capacity; for low-unit buildings of 1–4 floors.
- Jet series: Package booster pumps with a self-priming jet pump, available with 20 or 50-litre tanks.
- Jetinox series: Models with similar capacity to the Jet series, featuring a stainless steel pump casing.
- Euroinox series: Models with a stainless steel multistage pump casing; quiet operation and higher pressure output.
Choosing the right model
The floor and apartment counts in product names indicate the approximate capacity of each model. For example, small PKM models are sufficient for a single floor with one or two apartments, while more powerful Jet or Euroinox models stand out for six floors or more. If you need to draw water from a storage tank, self-priming jet pump series offer an advantage. A 50-litre tank helps reduce pump cycling frequency under heavy use.
Installation and use
Install the booster pump close to the tank outlet, in a dry and ventilated location. Fit a foot valve or check valve on the suction line to prevent the pump from draining. Before the first start-up, fill the pump casing with water through the priming plug; jet pumps can only initiate suction this way. Checking the tank air pressure once a year prevents the pump from cycling unnecessarily.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Jet and Jetinox?
The two series have similar capacities; Jetinox models feature a stainless steel pump casing. A stainless steel casing offers a longer service life in hard water or high-corrosion-risk conditions.
20-litre or 50-litre tank?
A 20-litre tank is sufficient for a single apartment or low usage. For more apartments and heavy use, a 50-litre tank reduces the pump's workload.
Can I compare other brands too?
Yes; for different brands with similar capacities, you can browse the domestic booster pumps category.
Who is the Euroinox series suitable for?
It is suitable for buildings with more apartments that require higher pressure and quiet operation.
