What Is a Sprayer Pump?
Sprayer pumps are mechanical devices used especially in summer, in wetlands, vineyards, and gardens to spray unwanted insects such as beetles and flies that accumulate in excessive numbers.- In mechanically pumped sprayers, pumping from the side or top builds up air pressure in the chemical tank, and the chemical released from the spray nozzle is sprayed up to 10 m away. Models are available for backpack and ground carrying.
- Petrol engine sprayer pumps: pressure generated by a pump connected to a petrol engine delivers the chemical through hoses of up to 100–150 m to the spray nozzle, which applies it to the desired location depending on the method used. Petrol engine sprayer pumps are available in two models: backpack type and ground type. Ground-type models can be used stationary or, by choosing a wheeled model, offer practical use by being moved around within the garden.
- Battery-powered sprayer pumps: using next-generation Li-ion batteries, these devices offer up to 2–2.5 hours of spraying and are available in wheeled and backpack configurations. Models that use electronic circuits to engage the electric motor the moment the trigger is pressed significantly extend the battery usage time.
