The electrical circuit to which the fan is connected must be grounded. It must be mounted on a firm surface to reduce vibration. Insulation and sealing must be applied during installation to prevent air leaks. Dust and soot accumulate on the fan blades over time, reducing performance; the impeller and motor should be cleaned at regular intervals. The fan used must match the boiler capacity. An undersized fan will not provide adequate combustion; an oversized fan wastes energy and can strain the system.
