Product description
What Is Reverse Osmosis?
Osmosis is the passage of water from a less concentrated medium to a more concentrated medium separated by a semi-permeable membrane. In the naturally occurring osmosis process, reverse osmosis takes place by applying pressure to the more concentrated medium. By applying pressure to the more concentrated medium, water passes from the more concentrated medium to the less concentrated medium.
The semi-permeable membrane used in reverse osmosis (RO) systems has a pore diameter of 8–12 angstroms. Water molecules are smaller than 8–12 angstroms and carry a neutral electric charge, which allows them to pass through the membranes easily. However, positively and negatively charged ions and molecules present in the water, as well as bacteria and viruses, are larger than 12 angstroms and therefore cannot pass through the membranes; they are returned to the waste line.
In summary, it is the best available water purification method for advanced filtration and ion removal. The Reverse Osmosis System is one of today's rapidly advancing technologies.
Designing a reverse osmosis system requires a great deal of technical knowledge and experience, including desired product water quality, raw water analysis, and the type of membrane to be used.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Features
- The water purifier is designed to operate at minimum water pressure.
- No chemicals are needed, and high-quality water production is ensured.
- Its minimal dimensions allow it to be easily installed wherever desired.
- The Reverse Osmosis water purifier improves the taste and quality of your water.
- It reduces odor and sediment, and reduces chlorine by up to 99%.
- The reverse osmosis unit also reduces contaminants that may be present in the water, such as lead, copper, barium, chromium, mercury, sodium, cadmium, fluoride, nitrite, and selenium.
Jammy Tiger Water Purifier Operating Principle
The Reverse Osmosis System requires a minimum mains pressure of 3 bar to operate. In areas where mains pressure is insufficient, a pump booster is added.
Water from the mains passes through the following filtration stages in order.
- Stage 1: 5-micron PP sediment pre-filter that traps suspended matter and particles in the water, protecting the subsequent filtration stages — and the membrane filter in particular. (1 mm = 1,000 microns)
- Stage 2: Activated carbon filter that removes organic substances, large amounts of carcinogenic chlorine and chlorine compounds from the water, purifying it of contaminants harmful to human health and to the membrane filter.
- Stage 3: Block carbon filter that subjects the water to finer particle filtration to trap suspended matter.
- Stage 4: Membrane filter — the semi-permeable membranes with 8–12 angstrom pores retain 95–98% of bacteria, viruses, and heavy metals in the water, which are then discharged to drain via the membrane's wastewater section.
- Stage 5: Post-carbon filter — the water passes through the filter one final time, delivering clear and highly safe drinking water with a pleasant taste from the clean water faucet above the sink.

How Is a Water Purifier Installed?
If you are worried about installing the water purifier you have purchased or are about to purchase, you need not be. However, keep in mind that service technicians work independently and will charge an installation fee.
Once your water purifier arrives, I recommend first unpacking the box and reading the user manual, as it contains detailed information about the purpose of each part and how to connect them.
When you purchase any water purifier, the box generally includes;
- RO unit,
- Faucet,
- Filters and housings,
- Membrane,
- Ball valve,
- Pump,
- Adapter,
- Hose,
- Feed water connection fitting,
- User manual and warranty certificate.
- Pumpless units do not include a pump or adapter.
