Pressure controllers are mechanical devices fitted to the outlet of pumps to convert them into booster pump systems. With Pedrollo Easy Small 2, the best pressure controller brand, there is no need to use plumbing components such as a check valve, pressure gauge, or 5-way fitting.
What Is the Pedrollo EasySmall II Pressure Controller?
It automatically converts a centrifugal pump system into a booster pump. It is a packaged system that can be used on its own in place of accessories such as an expansion vessel, check valve, pressure switch, pressure gauge, and five-way union.

Plumbing Materials
If your booster pump draws water from the same level or from a higher point, you must use a check valve on the suction line. A check valve must also always be used on the discharge line of the booster pump.

To ensure your booster pump stops automatically when the water in the tank or well runs out, you need to purchase a float switch. A water level float switch is used only with tank or ball-valve models; a float switch is not needed with pressure-controller-type booster pumps.
