The suction and discharge flanges of inline pumps are of equal diameter and on the same axis.
The pumps can be connected directly to the pipe. Larger and heavier types in particular can be mounted on a concrete base.
Inline pumps are generally used for pressurizing and transferring clean water or water-based fluids with contamination levels not exceeding 20 ppm, which do not chemically affect the pump's structural components.
They are widely used as circulation pumps in heating, cooling, air conditioning, pool, and domestic water circuits, as well as general-purpose pressurization and transfer pumps in domestic and industrial applications.
