These are compact domestic booster pumps ideal for residential use. With a suction capacity of up to 8 m, they provide maximum suction even in locations with aerated water. Important Notes When Using the Leo AJM110 5-Story 5-Apartment 1.5 HP Domestic Booster Pump with 50 L Horizontal Tank

If the booster pump draws water from a storage tank, it is advisable to use a float switch in case the tank runs dry. When the tank runs dry, it stops the unit from operating and prevents motor failure. When the tank refills, the booster pump automatically restarts.

Plumbing Materials

If your booster pump draws water from the same level or from a higher elevation, a check valve must be used on the suction line. A check valve must also always be used on the discharge line.

If your booster pump draws water from below its own level — i.e., from a negative elevation — a foot valve must be used to prevent air locks.

To protect your booster pump from debris that may form in the water during suction, you can purchase a Y-strainer.

To ensure your booster pump stops automatically when the water in the tank or well runs out, you need to purchase a float switch. A water level float switch is used only with tank or ball-valve models; a float switch is not needed with pressure-controller-type booster pumps.
