The expansion vessel is used as a pressure tank in booster pump systems installed where the municipal water supply pressure is insufficient, and in closed-loop heating systems to prevent the thermal expansion of system water from causing excessive pressure and damaging the installation.It is also used as a pressure tank in booster pump systems that supply pressurized water to buildings, preventing the pump from cycling on and off frequently. In booster pump systems, energy is saved by controlling pump activation through the pressure switch setting, and correct sizing of the pressure tank ensures the pump operates efficiently and has a long service life.
