Grundfos Scala2 3-45 Booster Pump Installation in Three Easy Steps

Being self-priming, the Grundfos Scala2 3-45 can pump water from a level below the pump, provided the pump is primed. The pump can draw water from a depth of 8 m in less than 5 minutes.

This facilitates easy installation and commissioning of the pump and provides more reliable water supply in installations where there is a risk of dry running or leaks in the suction hose or pipes.

If exposed to dry running, lack of water, or excessive temperature, or if the pump becomes blocked — for example due to seizure or overload — the pump will stop automatically, thereby preventing motor burnout.

Thanks to its hydraulic design, permanent-magnet motor, and water cooling, the pump is extremely low-noise — 47 dB(A) in typical use — making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Max. noise level at full load is 53 dB(A).

The Grundfos Scala2 3-45 is maintenance-free; however, it is recommended that you keep the pump clean, check the check valves, and keep the ventilation openings free of dust.
