The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 series domestic heating circulator (with Auto-Adapt) is the most advanced energy-efficient domestic circulator of its kind. With both variable-speed pressure-controlled operation and standard selectable three-speed operation, it is the ideal choice for a wide range of domestic hydronic heating systems.

The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 is an 'A'-rated / EuP Ready Energy-labeled product that achieves the highest possible energy savings under the energy labeling scheme. The use of the latest permanent magnet motor technology reduces power consumption. With pressure-controlled operation, power consumption can be reduced to as little as 5 watts.

The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 AUTOADAPT function continuously adapts pump performance to the actual heat demand. This means the system size and the varying heat demand throughout the year are taken into account. The AUTOADAPT function finds the setting that delivers the ideal comfort level with the least energy consumption. It also makes commissioning fast and easy.

The pump has three control modes, each with three settings:

• proportional pressure control
• constant pressure control
• constant curve mode

The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 display shows actual power consumption in watts or actual flow rate in m³/h. Alarms and warnings for the Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 can also be monitored on the display. LEDs indicate the actual operating status.

When night setback is activated, the motor speed is automatically reduced for energy savings as the system temperature drops. Alternating operation between pumps depends on the temperature change in the flow pipe.

When the Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 manual summer mode is activated, the pump periodically starts at low speed to prevent the rotor from seizing and to save energy.

The seal-free rotor design means the pump and motor form a single unit. The bearings are lubricated by the fluid being transferred and require no maintenance. The pump includes dry-run protection.

The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 uses a ceramic shaft, radial bearings, a carbon bearing, stainless steel protection, a bearing plate, a rotor sleeve, and a composite impeller. These components ensure a longer service life for the product.

The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 pump features a self-venting function for easier commissioning. The compact design with an integrated control box and control panel on the pump head allows easy installation in the most common configurations.

The Grundfos ALPHA2 32-60 pump casing is made of cast iron and is electro-chemically coated for enhanced corrosion resistance.

The motor is a synchronous permanent magnet / compact stator motor known for its high efficiency ratings. Pump speed is managed by an integrated variable frequency drive (VFD) fitted in the terminal box.
