These fans can be mounted on windows or walls and, thanks to their bidirectional design, are versatile exhaust fans that can be used for bringing fresh air in or for extracting stale air. They can be operated at any of 5 different speed settings. Ideal for medium and large-scale facilities. A 5-speed bidirectional fan motor providing ideal ventilation for air-conditioned spaces.

Fan Housing and Impeller

  • Housing and fan blades made of ABS plastic,
  • Compliant with EN 60335-2-80 standards
  • Low Noise Level
  • Motor

    • Quality production on high-technology CNC machines without manual handling
    • Thermal overload protection against excessive temperature and
  • instantaneous circuit cut-off, 230–240 V / 50 Hz single-phase fan motor,

Applications

  • Extraction of stale air from restaurants, cafés, bars, and similar venues,
  • Removal of odors and smoke from homes and workplaces,
  • Can be used in bathrooms and restrooms for extracting steamy and humid air and supplying fresh air.

What to Consider When Selecting a Radial Fan

4 parameters should be considered when selecting a fan:
  • Required Air Flow Rate
  • Pressure Losses
  • Acceptable Noise Level
  • Electrical Power Connection Type
The air changes required for the space to be ventilated depend on the intended use of the space, the number of occupants and objects inside, and their activities. The table alongside provides the required air change rate coefficients for different environments.

The amount of air per person in living and working spaces depending on activity level can help determine the required air flow rate.

Normal Activity (Non-Smoking) 29 m³/h
Normal Activity (Smoking) 58 m³/h
Light Activity 45 m³/h
Heavy Activity 60 m³/h

Based on the information provided above, the required air flow rate is determined as follows.

  • Q [ m³/h ] = Air change rate coefficient (1 hour) × Space volume (m³)
  • Or

  • Q [ m³/h ] = Number of people × Air flow rate required per person
After determining the required air flow rate for the space, an appropriate duct design (taking noise and air velocity criteria into account) should be made and pressure losses calculated. The fan type (axial, radial, roof, smoke extraction, etc.) should be decided based on the operating environment, and the appropriate fan should be selected from the relevant fan curve according to the determined flow rate–static pressure pair. To briefly illustrate the above with an example: an office has 5 employees, a ceiling height of 2.6 meters, and a floor area of 50 m², giving a volume of 2.6 × 50 = 130 m³. The air change rate coefficient given for an office in the table is 4–8; let's take 5. 130 × 5 = 650 m³/h air requirement. If we assume normal activity in the office, 5 people × 29 m³ = 145 m³ for employees, giving a total of 650 + 145 = 795 m³/h air requirement.

Fan selection is also made based on this flow rate requirement.

After completing the flow rate calculations, the installation location of the fan should be determined. Where will the fan be mounted — ceiling, wall, chimney, or ventilation duct? Another consideration is the voltage of the electrical supply to the fan. Continuing with our office example: fans in offices are generally mounted on a wall or glass. If a domestic electricity supply is used, a single-phase fan should be preferred. If it is to be used in an industrial setting, a fan operating on three-phase (380 V) power should be used.
