What is a thermomanometer?

A thermomanometer (combined gauge) is a measuring instrument that displays the water temperature and pressure in a system on the same dial. In boilers, hot water cylinders, hot water tanks, and central heating systems, it enables monitoring with a single device instead of two separate instruments. This saves space on the panel or boiler body and allows the operator to read both key values at a glance.

How does it work?

In combined gauges, pressure measurement is performed by a pressure element, while temperature measurement is carried out by a temperature sensor connected via a capillary tube. In capillary models, the sensor is placed at the measurement point; the dial can be positioned at a distance equal to the capillary length — for example, on a panel. The model in this category has a 40 mm dial, a measurement range of 120 °C and 6 bar, and a 1-metre capillary length.

Selection criteria

In heating systems, measurement points at the boiler outlet or on the hot water cylinder are generally preferred.

Installation recommendations

The capillary tube must not be sharply bent, crushed, or cut; a damaged capillary cannot provide accurate readings. The temperature sensor must be seated fully in a suitable immersion well. The pressure connection must be made with proper sealing and without overtightening.

Frequently asked questions

Why use a combined gauge instead of separate thermometer and pressure gauge?

It saves space by displaying two values with a single device and makes readings easier.

Can the capillary be shortened?

No; if the capillary tube is cut or opened, the device will not function.

In which systems is it used?

Widely used in boilers, hot water cylinders, central heating, and hot water systems.

How is measurement accuracy maintained?

Protect the device from impacts and do not expose it to excessive temperature or pressure.

What if a wider pressure range is needed?

For higher pressures, separate pressure gauges may be preferred.

Is there a separate device for temperature measurement?

Yes; for different ranges, you can browse the thermometers category.

What connection type does a combined gauge come with?

The connection type and size are specified in the product description. Check that the immersion well and pressure connection at your mounting point match these dimensions.
